Agricultural Zone Development Plan

Laval is one of the few cities in Quebec where urban life is closely associated with a permanent agricultural zone, which occupies 29% of its territory, or 7,123 hectares. This zone is operated by approximately 119 farms in addition to a network of 43 farm stands. Annual revenues of $92 million are generated from the sale of products.

the City of Laval has unveiled its Agricultural Zone Development Plan (PDZA). The PDZA aims to enhance Laval's agricultural zone by promoting the sustainable development of agricultural activities. The work surrounding the PDZA made it possible to draw up a strategic diagnosis of Laval's agricultural sector and to identify priority orientations and projects for the next 5 years.
